We are a bit behind in sharing our travel adventures so we’ll start with our most recent and there are a few to cover and then catch up to where we are now (back in Canada).
Before arriving into Vancouver in mid January we most recently had the pleasure of visiting Paris for the first time. We only had two nights in this stunning city as we reconnected with our round the world flights after cruising down the river for Christmas (more to come on that), however we made the most of every moment. We stayed at Le Walt Hotel, and booked a room with a view of the iconic Eiffel Tower. Every hour after dark, we were able to watch the tower sparkle and light up the city, and it was truly a magical sight.

After we checked in our first stop was the Louvre, where there was so much to see including the Mona Lisa. That night we visited the Christmas markets which had been extended into the new year and explored the city on scooters, riding by many of the main attractions.
The next day we started the day with hot chocolates and croissants at a nearby cafe, soaking in the atmosphere of Parisian life. We then made our way to the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, before stopping for a delicious lunch. at Jules Verne, a famous restaurant located inside the Eiffel Tower. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking, and the food was just as amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal with incredible service while taking in the views of Paris below us.
Despite the briefness of our trip, Paris made a lasting impression on us. The city is stunning, with its iconic landmarks and rich history. We were able to experience so much in just two days, and can’t wait to return to France in the future.
