Today’s blog is inspired by a special guy, that guy is celebrating a birthday today and his name is Ben! Big Birthday love to the most amazing husband I could ever wish for!
We’ve had some incredible experiences on our birthdays for the twelve years we’ve been together, we’ve celebrated in Thailand three times, we got engaged on my 30th birthday in Mexico then flew to Las Vegas for his birthday. We’ve traveled for countless other birthdays and lavished each other wish a bounty of gifts and then some years and more as we go on living location independently we’re more low key, after all we’re already traveling and now we have to carry all of our belongings, we find we don’t want for as much.
While this is no biggie for us, we love our lifestyle and we still received lots of lovely messages and some lovely gifts, went for a nice meal and saw a movie together. Though our lifestyle means we do miss out on occasions to celebrate with family and friends. This year we’ll miss a family wedding and a special friends 40th birthday celebration but we’ll do our best to make it up to them when we are next back in the country of course, for those of you celebrating while on the road or missing celebrations back home, how do you manage this?
